HOMETOWN VIDEO FESTIVAL
20/20 Communications, Inc. was recently awarded Honorable Mention for the Public Service Announcement they produced in conjunction with the Little City Foundation of Palatine, IL by the Hometown Video Festival hosted by the Alliance for Community Media. The PSA centered around the need for more foster parents in Illinois. It then encouraged people to contact Little City Foundation for more information about becoming a foster parent.
The ad focused on a girl spending the day alone. She is pictured isolated on a couch as text floats accross the screen spelling out the need for foster parents in Illinois. The PSA culminates with a glimpse of the joy a child feels knowing they are going to be loved and cared for by an adult, when we see her foster parent enter the room. The two embrace as the audience is invited to call for more information.
20/20 was brought on board the project by John Grod of the Little City Foundation's Multi-Disciplinary Arts Center to produce this PSA. John Grod is head of the Video Arts department and responsible for producing Little City Foundation's award winning "Kiss My TV Show".
