Photographic Retouching

Are your old family photographs deteriorating as they sit neglected in the attic? If so, now is the time to do something about it. The first thing to do is create a master digital scan of the photograph or preferably the original negative. This will preserve the image in its current state and save it from further degradation. This file can then be cleaned up and even "colorized." Scratches can be repaired, grain can be removed and faces that have begun to fade can be sharpened. 20/20 can make those old pictures that you pull out at family reunions suitable for display in your home. Making Photographs from Video

Is the cutest picture you ever took of little Johnnie trapped on a video tape? Or would you like to frame your appearance on the local news last night? 20/20 is the place to call. Capturing a frame of video is becoming easier with today's digital video cameras and computer editors, but there is more to making a quality print than just transfering a single frame. An average frame of video is approximately 700 pixels wide by 500 pixels tall. On the other hand, a normal 4x5 photographic print would normally measure1500 by 1200 - that's more than twice the detail! Our digital enhancement techniques can restore much of this detail and add sharpening to ensure a great still image.
